2008 was a highly succesful year with several tours to all of our destinations. Apart from our regular tours, one of our most memorable expedition was a 4WD Albania-Kosovoo-exploratory in search of Lammergeiers, tought to be extinct from the area. Unfortunatelly we did'n find any sign of their presence, but we discovered the largest Eastern European roosting site of appr. 3000 Lesser Kestrel, which is a globally threatened species. We also enjoyed mega-view of several Rock Partridges and we did find several rare butterflies, incl. Escher's and Damon Blues.

Part of the Lesser Kestrel roost. Unfortunatelly we had a severe rain during this encounter, but still a great view since the site is just in front of our hotel' windows.

The sky was just full with them. It was the most surprising discovery of our 4x4 tour.
