Conservation

"...There is no Planet B! Our generation has to save and preserve wildlife, nature and cultural heritage! If we don't do it... who will?..."

Every year we have programmed fundraising tour for selected nature conservaton organisations. As a member of those tours, 100% of your money will contibute to nature protection.

If you are a manager or head of any nature conservation organisation, please also step in contact with us to discuss further possibilities of cooperation!

Just finished our annual fundraising butterfly tour to Montenegro with the European Interest Group of Butterfly Conservation, which ended up with 104 butterfly species in 5 field days only. Amazing result in a amazing country! Apart from a long list of good butterflies we enjoyed many rare Bladetails (Lindenia tetraphylla), we did find the megarare Schistostege decussata, and some great reptiles (eg. Asblepharus kitaibelii).
We will release our 2012 fundraising tour very soon!
(8th July)

After agreement with Hungarian Heritage Trust and BC Ghana, we designated 8 of our tours as "fundraising tour", for the benefit of butterflies, through buying lands under the auspices of Butterfly Conservation, UK, European Interest Group. To see which tours are fundraising, please check out our full tour calendar.
(20th March, 2011)

The 2011 fundraising tour is FULL. If you are interested in our 2012 fundraising tour, please contact us!
(1st, Dec., 2010)

The 2011 fundraising tour will be to explore the best butterfly habitats of the almost unknown field of Montenegro, from 29th June till 07th July, in cooperation again with the European Interest Group of Butterfly Conservation, UK.
(25th, Sept., 2010)

Our 2010 fundraising tour finished with enormous success in Slovenia. The tour was run with 14 participants from the UK, incl. several member from the Chair of BC. Despite that we had some bed weather we observed 96 + further 12 (extension) species of butterflies, and some other goodies, incl. a pair of Wallcreeper with chick. We raised alltogether 10.500 euro for Trust. Some pictures here.
(9th, Aug., 2010)

Our 2010 fundraising tour will be run in co-operation with the European Interest Group of the Butterfly Conservation Society, England at the first week of August, 2010 to Slovenia, in search of Apollos and high-altitude Erebias. The total 100% profit will be donated to a Hungarian foundation, which is buying lands in cooperation with the Õrség National Park for the benefit of butterflies, incl. Poplar Admiral and the 4 Large Blues (Maculinea arion, M. alcon, M. teleius, M. naosithous). You can read more about the foundation on the 7th page of the latest issue of "Butterfly" magazine (Autumn, 2009)!
